What really happened...

What really happened here, for those who have asked, is that Fertility Friend decided to target anyone that was somehow linked to this blog and shut their account access to FF down. With that, a user of FF contacted me and asked me to shut it down to attempt to gain her access to FF back. She regained her access, and the blog will remain shut down. There's really no reason to continue to find stupid posts on FF to showcase here.

There are other sites that are available should your access leave forever -- Ovusoft, Loungeplace, Mommy Gossip, among others... Difference is those are all free. Fertility Friend is not. Fertility Friend is actually making MONEY off the stupidity. So really paying for FF's service made me a part of the problem. BUT, without the access, I cannot showcase stupid posts, right? So I did not renew and will not renew. Ever.

Now the same is happening to Fertility Friend Drama. Others are being accused and their accounts shut down.

What happened to free speech? I don't know, but personally it became a bit boring to me.

I find it quite humorous after the fact that this one particular site goes as far as to reading your private personal blogs and investigating other sites to try to find out the authors of these blogs... But there is a site for everyone, and some people love Fertility Friend and the things it offers. I say stay there and enjoy... the rest who are tired of it all have other places to go.

Right on, Foe. I hear ya. I think FF is under the impression that they can rule the world. I say Fuck them. I WILL stand up for those women who have been wronged by Stormy, or any other employee of FF.

I think you and the other sites need to get an attorney and file a "class action" civil suit. Hell, the members that have been threatened I AM NOT KIDDING!!!!!!!!

That should have read: Hell, the members that have been threatened should do the same.

What people forget though is that the rules are in Fertility Friend's charters. They set the rules and we agree to those rules when we sign up and pay. A lot of times people come across as if this is everyone's site because we are there, etc... but it is truly THEIR site with THEIR rules. My point is that if you are not satisfied with FF and how it is run, there are other places to meet lovely and even smarter women (imagine that) who won't ridicule you if you are fluffy, infertile, fertile, or whatever the labels at FF...

And you don't have to worry about locked threads most of the time.

I think a lawyer would laugh a class action lawsuit out...

The only way to make a change is one person at a time, spreading the word about the type of site, and then not joining it.

I found that my blog over time was helping pay for Fertility Friend's site... I was paying to have access to make fun of posts there...

Foe, I view the blog[s] and you are definetly the one that has "class" for a public blog dogging FF.

I "kind of know" where you`re coming from, but I still don`t quite understand it. Maybe you can enlighten me? I don`t know.

Bottom line >>>>>WHY ARE GIRLS SO ANGRY AT FF? OK, so they lost a few bucks to a dimwit fertility board. They need to get over it and move on. It seems MANY girls from FF can NOT move on and here comes the revenge bs. What is it, $17.00 something for 3 months? Get over it girls.......right it off as a bad lunch a Wendy`s. It`s pocket change for pete`s sake.

What nobody wants to admit is how much they love FF and then cry like a baby when they can`t log on.

I`ve been a member for over 2 yrs. and love it. I think the majority of women on there love it. Yes there`s kooks, but they are everwhere!

Why is it that those that get banned feel such a need for revenge? This is where I need to be enlightened.

They say they HATE FF and just love to dog it, but they`re so totally consumed by it!!
Those who lose their access FREAK OUT when they can`t post. WTF?

I`m sorry, I just don`t understand.

Foe, you show very much class in handling the things you do on this public blog.

I think you are indeed a good person. It`s very obvious after you shut down a blog for quite awhile to clear your friends name.

All the best to you.

Oh I don't know... you make good points there also anonymous about why women get banned and then go nuts. I think it IS an addiction. It's a place to go where friends meet and then because of the nature of Fertilty Friend - when it's over they go into withdrawals... LOL... we gotta get FF back! Look what they did! They banned me! Yeah... big deal. Being banned is probably the greatest thing in the world in terms of FF accessibility... it's FF's way of ensuring that the smart ladies never return. De-evolution of FF, if you will.

The nature of Fertility Friend is that it is a business. There is a monthly fee to use their service which is to provide charting/message boards. With that FF realizes that many women meet while TTC and then go on to become pregnant and bond with mothers due around the same time. They form this bond and then there's the potential of business loss because they can make their own board at that point and FF loses money.

It's a business.

So I wonder a lot about the blogs that pop up about Fertility Friend and even other sites, and I wonder the point of them really. On my side, I was just truly bored and just doing it for sheer entertainment purposes... kind of like a project... I never realized I had that many readers. I had a few friends sending me posts from FF to ag me on... and of course went with most of them... no harm no foul, right?

From FF's point of view, I guess maybe that the truth sort of hurts in a way to read how they are perceived overall as a company. They are not listed w/the Better Business Bureau, they have an address that correlates with other defunct and questionable looking businesses... either way, they still are making a TON OF MONEY. Enough so, they can troll around trying to figure out who is bad and kick 'em out.

I'm sure the business plan includes kicking out those who love attention, love drama, and love to stir the pot.

I have to say it's ingeniuous what they have done as far as tracking and figuring out things over the years.

But all in all... it is just chump change to me on the fees. And considering that renewal is not something I would want to do, the fodder is not something I can see now... ha ha. Unfortunately.

So see... it IS an addiction!!!

I will say in FF's defense that I have been members of smaller boards in the past and because of the lack of control, a lot of things get started and heated up and drama follows, sides are taken, on and on...

And then you think...what's the purpose of this really?

Is my life really spent on a keyboard typing to people I don't even know that well? Do I have an addiction? What am I escaping in the real world?

Just kidding... I have made some great friends on FF and other places that I will always treasure...

I think you should put your site back up. It was so much more tasteful than FF drama's. Obviously she just took your original blog idea and made it nasty and one sided. Whatever.... She's a loser!!!

FFD - Does this qualify me for the fucktard of the week? I'd be so honored.

LOL, I left FF about 5 years ago because STORMY siggy-raped me. I had a blinky about the "community credits" idea (new at the time, not even sure if its still used)that was slightly mocking in its tone. For that, I lost my entire signature, with photos, charts, links, etc etc. that had taken me months to build.

Anyway, certainly not fretting about it anymore, found a new home at Ovusoft, much more hospitable. I was just amused to come across this blog and am just amazed that Stormy is still at it. We had a massive group and we all left when she disciplined me.

Ladies, break for the border!

I just got banned this morning for posting a website address in their community forum. They accused me of spamming, which I wasn't. I was simply telling someone a website to check out that would answer their question.

I found this book and had to share it. Millions of people worldwide suffer from infertility, which many do not realize is a biological, psychological, social and spiritual crisis that can take years to come to resolution. Helen Adrienne's new book, On Fertile Ground: Healing Infertility is not only a explanation of the infertility experience, but it also puts the challenge in perspective, provides a mind/body program to deal with this adversity and reframes the situation in ways that allow for enormous growth. http://bit.ly/fAWsAm
